We want to inform you, as ‘our’ farmers, how we from The Golden Coffee Box – Boot Koffie in the Netherlands try to inform our customers about your special products. This is a small story from our firm specially made for you.

Our KoffieWinkel/Coffee Center The Golden Coffee Box – Boot Koffie in Baarn was buzzing with happy coffee tales and coffee cuppings featuring Panama filter and espresso coffees!
Baarn is a small city in the middle of the Netherlands, where our roasting/ retail store is located, with 20.000 inhabitants.
Party and Jubilee!
The 15th of October was indeed a party: Our Jubilee of 20 years of Direct Trade with Panama Coffee Farmers. What started with coffee farmer Maria Ruiz and her family in 1991 (20 bags) became 20 years later a Direct Trade between 400 and 600 bags of coffee each year. Of the best quality arabica, single estate!
And the result is that now in Holland the Panama coffee is well known as the best quality arabica coffee and consumed in many households and restaurants.
Panama Consul
The Consul from Panama, Ms. Natasha Rohner, was present to receive from the Mayor of Baarn Mr. Roell the freshly roasted new harvest beans from Panama. As a gift of gratitude from the inhabitants of Baarn to the Republic of Panama. This attracted publicity in regional news media, newspapers and coffee forums. Our mother Marianne Boot was also present during this festivity, and we also commemorated our father Jacob Boot who passed away on May 5th. We all felt his presence!

Special Edition High Taste News About ‘Our’ Panama Farmers.
We distributed throughout Holland to consumers, restaurants and retailers a special edition of our newsletter High Taste, nr. 46 (in dutch). This is one part of our mission: to bring awareness to consumers. “Do you know where your coffee is from?” The answer is Panama!
Coffee Joy Day
We showed all the new harvest coffees from eight single estate farmers of Panama.
Director Barend Boot with his brother (coffee-expert) Willem Boot were busy pouring small glasses of Panamanian pour-over drip coffee. Almost 600 bags of coffee were sold this day.
Together with the presence of the consul, we featured specially printed balloons, Panamanian live music and a fashion show where our young ladies showed the special design coffee T-shirts. This was a day to be proud of and to remember!
